Novel mostly set in the mining country of Colorado relating the trials and tribulations of a father and son in their efforts to 'strike it rich'. Along the lines of a melodrama to my way of thinking but with much of interest relating to mining and railroading accompanying tragedies. NOT a religious book in the usual sense as I note others have called it. Actually quite a good Colorado yarn in the old style.
