No dust jacket Born in Indianpolis in 1899, June Hildegarde Flanner Monhoff [1889-1987] was an American poet, essayist, playwright and conservationist. Flanner studied poetry at U.C. Berkeley and later resided in Southern California where she continued to write under her maiden name, chronicling events in her life as well as the changing landscape of California in the twentieth century. Flanner authored several volumes including the following: This Morning (1920); Young Girl (1920); A Tree In Bloom and Other Verses (1924) and If There Is Time (1942).
