Signed by Grass on the half-title page. While copies of the American first edition are common, signed copies are quite scarce. One of the most highly acclaimed novels of post-war Germany. Grass was awarded the 1999 Nobel Prize for Literature and "The Tin Drum" was filmed in 1979 and won an Academy Award for best foreign film.
