Frank Hamilton Spearman (1859-1937) was an American author, known for his Western fiction books and especially for his works on the subject of railroads. His best-known novel is "Whispering Smith", which has been made into a movie eight times. Dr. William J. Fischer was a distinguished medical doctor in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada who also found time to write poetry and fiction. "The Toiler and Other Poems" is his second book.
