Near Fine with light wear, bookplate remnants on front paste down, in a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket. An attractive signed copy of an elegantly-designed book. One of the most influential academic works of the cold war, which made its author an instant celebrity. Kahn's recent biographer Sharon Ghamari-Tabrizi said the book "hums with motifs of world cataclysm, resurrection, and miracle," likening its frank, varied, jocular expository style to that of an epic poem.
