1st Edition 1948. Signed by the author. Signed Malory Tower books are notoriously uncommon. Wonderful Provenance: Joy Clark, thence by descent. Joy Clark born 1937 grew up in Beaconsfield with her parents Isabella and Cecil Clark. The Clark's ran an ironmonger's shop in the town and Enid Blyton was a regular customer. For many years whenever one of her books was published, Blyton would kindly sign and give a book to Joy, who was a small child at the time. Book is very good++ and bright. Contents good. A few illustrations have been neatly coloured in. The wrapper is good++ and quite bright. Small loss to spine tips and corners. Edges rubbed and nicked with small closed tear. All overseas orders with priority shipping (8 days+) will be sent by either tracked airsure or international signed for. The slower postal rates (14 days +) will be sent by standard airmail and will take longer to arrive. We recommend to all our customers to use the priority shipping as this is a much quicker and secure method of shipment.
