"First Edition" stated. Signed "Anne Tyler" (author's name, only) to title page and then again to a 1994-dated "Ex Libris" bookplate attached to HALF-title page. Not price clipped; original $4.95 price showing. (Inflation? What inflation?) Coded "10/65" to bottom of jacket front flap. No ISBN appearing, of course, since ISBNs did not come into common use until about 1970. NO edge stampings, NO lending library markings. However, both cloth-covered boards and jacket flaps show browned tape ghosts where this dust jacket was once taped down, in an earlier dust-jacket holder. A small portion of white jacket spine is also browned, indicating some kind of label has been removed, there. And the endpapers are quite sturdy and a brighter white than the rest of the pages. Could someone (not us) have given this signed copy new endpapers to disguise some kind of library history? We don't know, maybe.
