This Texas author's first novel, a signed presentation copy with long & familiar inscription f.e.p." "To Johnny . ." Laid in are photo illustrated newspaper clippings - two reviews of her book & an account (dated Aug. 12th 1951), of charges being dropped against author's husband for "slapping his son silly" - unquote. These clippings had been attached with paper-clips to top of first few pages and their is some very slight damage to top margin of those pages.
