Book and plates housed in their original green cloth clamshell box with white lettering on spine and front cover. This exquisite work contains a 16-page essay on Greece and the Acropolis as well as 32 stunning photographic plates (28 b/w and 4 duo-tone) depicting scenes, views, monuments, and various people of this enchanted land. Amà dà e Ozenfant (1886-1966), the author of this rare work, was a painter active in Parisian avant-garde circles. Minor rubbing, sunning and tiny closed tears on box. Latch cut in two.
