First US Edition. Light tan fine-grained canvas cloth, with red and white spine label, in tan and red D/W. A bump to the top edge, browning to the edge of both the front and back boards and evidence of a book-plate having been lifted from the front paste-down, probably only a good plus copy. The D/W is VG with some neat but un-necessary tape repairs on the verso of the D/W. Inscribed by the Author on the FFEP: "For Jim Higson --/ who is now one year/ closer to my Uncle Dudley/ and one year farther (as/ is the author)/ from the/ Kid still inchored in the/ Land of Milk & Honey, seated/ on Sunset watching the/ cars, full of good-looking/ women go by./ Wright Morris/ June 13, 1970".
