columnist and gentle gothic humorist, has authored a dozen books, the best-
selling of which is DAD'S TWEED COAT: SMALL WISDOMS HIDDEN COMFORTS UNEXPECTED
JOYS (also available on CD as an audiobook, performed by the author). His latest
releases: CHRISTMAS COMES BUT ONCE A DAY, Southern memories and meditations
about the wonders of the holiday season, AND STICKY NOVELS: TALES JOTTED DOWN ON
STICKY NOTES, a collection of one-page novels. Reed Books Antiques/The Museum of
Fond Memories is "Alabama's largest, most wonderful old book loft." Open to the
public Tuesday-Friday 10:30am till 5:30pm. Saturdays from 11am till 4pm. Other
