This offering is a vintage copy of Walter the Lazy Mouse written and illustrated by Marjorie Flack. (Marjorie Flack is the author of the Angus the Dog series . . . among a lot of other popular books.) This book was published by Doubleday Doran & Co. Company in 1941 and appears to be a First Edition though it is not specifically stated as such. It WAS copyrighted by Flack in 1937. The book HAS ALSO been Inscribed (For Betsy . . . ) - Doodled in (a picture of a mouse) and then straight signed by Marjorie Flack on the half title page. The book is NOT an ex-library copy - is only in good + condition - and it has no dust jacket . The book is 8 1/4" by 10 1/8" and has about 50 pages with a good story and great four - and five - color illustrations throughout. Even though the book is over 80 years old it would still make a super gift . . . even if it's to yourself . . . or a Marjorie Flack fanatic. Not many children's books were signed and doodled in the 1940's. Thank you!
