Seventeen volumes. Octavo. Grey cloth with paper spine label. Frontispieces in each volume. Large-paper edition. Copy #111 of 250 sets printed. Signed by the author on a special leaf in Vol. 1 and dated Jan. 2, 1896 "The Author's autograph, written specially for this edition a few months before her death". The last volume of the set is "Life and Letters of Harriet Beecher Stowe" edited by Annie Fields with a publication date of 1897 on the title page. A good set with some light soiling to the cloth bindings and some wear to the spine tips. The spine labels are worn with some heavy foxing and a few chipped edges. The text in all volumes is very good with some minor soiling and wear. A few of the volumes have some staining to the top edge of the textblock but this has not permeated to the pages at all.
