ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

Taka, a young peregrine falcon, left his home to escape the war and to see the world. Before leaving, he attached a one of a red ribbon to the tree that was his home and another to his leg. He traveled the world, experiencing many adventures while growing large and strong. One day, in a thunderstorm, the ribbon was struck by lightning, and Taka began to feel homesick. He began the long journey home and found the ribbon and his tree.

This story, with its watercolor illustrations, evokes a sense of longing for home and the contentment Taka experiences at the end of his journey.

Beatriz Rojas nació en Santiago en 1968. Tiene estudios de arte, psicología y psicopedagogía. Su obra se compone de libros para niños y novelas para jóvenes, escritura de guiones para televisión y una floreciente incursión en la dramaturgia. Dirige talleres de escritura y participa en proyectos educativos.
