His most famous works was his series of paintings on the life of Saint Bruno aptly titled La Vie de St. Bruno . After Sueur completed these paintings, they were sold to Louis XVI and were later placed in the Louvre where they still reside today. These enormous, elephant-folio sized engravings of St. Bruno were engraved by Francois Chauveau who is known to be one of the most desirable engravers for collectors.
