This edition, except trade, has been limited to 55 copies, all registered. This copy was specially printed for A***** M. P*******. (Colophon rear of book) This album was completed in November of 1957 printed by Imprimere Centrale de Lausanne on a model by Paul Barge. It was written by John Farren and Maurice Croizard. The binding is the work of Maurice Busenhart, Master Bookbinder in Lausanne. Printed in Switzerland 12" by 10" by 1 3/8". Full red Moroccan Leather, 6 compartments to spine with simple gilt device on each, the rest of the binding is untooled, top edge gilt, for and bottom edge heavily deckled, thick gold silk moir endpapers, high quality thick paper stock(hand made?) unpaginated(3 prelim, 2 crests facing between 2-3) 7" by 9" portrait photo of a young beautiful newly crowned Elizabeth II on page 4, facing title pages, presentation page followed by body of book, 62pp, which consist of 53 tipped in full color and b&w photographs depicting the royal couples visit on her first visit to france as sitting queen of England. Rather nice ornate test in French throughout. Condition: New as issued with only flaw is one photograph has some light creasing/wear in the middle of book.
