Fowler (Alexandria, Virginia), 8 3/8 x 10 7/8 inches tall paperbound in pale blue printed covers, copiously illustrated with black-and-white photographs and facsimiles, iv, [1], 192 pp. Slight soiling, rubbing and edgewear to covers, with creasing to tips and a quarter-inch closed tear to the lower edge of the front cover. Bumping to the lower edge of the front cover, with resultant slight creasing to the lower edge of the first few pages. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this scarce family history and genealogy. OCLC (No. 866797656) locates only eight copies at institutions worldwide. Note that this is a heavy and oversized book, so additional postage will be required for international or priority orders. ~G~ [2.5P] A family history and genealogy which traces the ancestry and descendants of Philip Fowler of Marlborough, Wiltshire, England, who was born about 1590. He married Mary (Winsley?). They had seven children, and emigrated and settled in Massachusetts. He died in 1679 in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Ohio and South Dakota. Includes Archer, Fuester, Hutchins, Jordan, Sweatt and related families.
