A re-issue of the first collected ten volume edition which was published in 1780.In each volume, the Ex libris of Charles Donnelly'Nitor in adversum' (I strive against opposition). Steel engraving, monogrammed and dated on the plate: "ANM 1926(?)". Artist is MACDONALD Arthur Nelson (USA 1866 - 1940). Listed as rare. Because the bookplate is most often found in Minnesota, it is likely from the collection of Charles Donnelly (November 9, 1869 Ã_x0083_¢ââ_x0080__x009a_‰â_x0082_¬Å_x0093_ September 4, 1939)[1] president of Northern Pacific Railway 1920-1939 who's law practice was located in St. Paul, MN.
