Reseña del editor:
The Herodian dynasty has begun its bloody reign in Palestine. King Herod not only murders any who opposes him but also seeks to kill off the last remaining descendants of King David to ensure there is no messiah who can challenge his rule. Backed by powerful Roman legions, there seems to be nobody who can stop Herod's madness. Her father murdered by Herod, the orphaned granddaughter of the last Maccabee queen is taken in secret to a community of messianic mystics living in Nazareth for protection. Reaching adulthood, she will meet up with the son of a Davidic prince patriarch, whose father was also a victim of Herod's purges. Their union will begin the final phase of the contest between Herod's determination to prevent the coming of the Messiah, and those who know he must. THIS IS THE FANTASTIC CONCLUSION TO THE MASHIAKH TRILOGY, ONE THAT IS CERTAIN TO CHANGE THE WAY ITS READERS VIEW THE TUMULTUOUS EVENTS IN PALESTINE IN THE CENTURY LEADING UP TO THE COMMON ERA.
Reseña del editor:
It is the first century before the start of the Common Era. Armies are on the march. Empires are falling and rising. The Age of the Angels has long passed into history and that of the prophets is now ending. A new era is beginning, that of the sword, to be forged through blood and steel. Watchers, fallen Angels exiled after the Great Flood, have returned to assist men in their conquest of the world through force and violence. There are small groups of Jewish mystics living in Palestine however, who await a messiah, the Mashiakh, who will save them and the world from this almost certain bad end. With the spiritual power of the sun weakening, the retreating good Angels anoint a young girl from Galilee with the task of making way for the Mashiakh with the help of the Jewish mystics. The Watchers and their human allies however, will stop at nothing to prevent his coming. Based on themes taken from the Books of Enoch and the writings of Jewish mystic communities inspired by them, the Mashiakh Trilogy chronicles the turbulent events that take place in Palestine in the century leading up to the Common Era and the spiritual ferment it creates. The Mashiakh Trilogy offers an alternate way of viewing this unique time and place in human history, versus the standard storyline. It weaves actual historical events into a web of spiritual fantasy to provide readers with a sense of the mysticism, until now mostly obscured, that played such an important role in shaping spiritual events that were to take place in Palestine at the start of the Common Era.
