A book published in 1985 to accompany the Channel 4 TV series of the same name ( which I do not remember ). A very good view of the lack of transport integration in Britain. As the book describes, the nationalisation plan was beginning to show promise and economically things were brighter when a general election was called in 1951 resulting in Churchill being returned to power.
