Margaret McAllister lives in Pickering, North Yorkshire. She is the author of four children's novels published by OUP, including The Octave of Angels, The Secret Mice and many literacy titles. Her latest project The Mistmantle Chronicles (first book publishing spring 2005) were sold to Bloomsbury at auction for a six figure sum, with translation rights already sold in six languages.
