None of these indicate the date of the central and oldest portion of the volume, wherein the script used is large and regular, carefully written, and consists almost wholly of copies of the various Charters relating to the estates assigned to the Almoner for the upkeep of his office. This portion can hardly be later than the early part of the reign of Edward I.
