Reseña del editor:
So a horse walks into a bar and starts discussing Descartes. Welcome to Clyde's Tale, as a bemused writer is tricked by his imaginary horse into journeying to legendary Frisco. There they become obsessed by love, death and a woman with black holes instead of eyes. A detective story, a love story, a fable; Clyde's Tale is a rambunctious stew of life, literature, licentiousness and many other words beginning with 'L'. A literary mystery in all senses of the word, Clyde's Tale was described by Joe Konrath, author of Whiskey Sour, as "Funny. Insane, but funny. You'll go far in this business. Chris Moore, Eric Garcia and Bill Fitzhugh are good examples." Clyde's Tale is undoubtedly the first time an imaginary horse, Nietzsche-quoting ruffians, the history of spats, assault with a fish, James Joyce, death by moose head, a potty-mouthed munchkin, and a famously lost manuscript have appeared in the same book, or, come to think of it, the same sentence.
Biografía del autor:
Steve Dodds has been writing professionally for over 20 years, although the proper use of commas still confuses him. Following a moderate mid-life crisis, he moved to San Francisco for long enough to know one never calls it Frisco. Currently he can be found in Sydney, usually at the Cricketer's Arms Hotel in Surry Hills, and especially at Happy Hour, 5-7PM Mon to Fri. Not surprisingly he is single, although he sometimes likes to pretend otherwise. His favourite drink is beer, his favourite food is lobster, his favourite color is black, his favourite composer is Stravinsky, and his favourite books are sweeping sagas of three generations of Southern women. Architecturally he is a minimalist. He is currently working on a new book that is not about him but will contain elements of him. He is not very good at plots so he is planning on stealing the plot and theme from 'Parsival' by Wolfram von Eschenbach, figuring that Wolfie has been dead for 800 years and so probably won't notice.
