Buch Erstausgabe
Hardcover. Zustand: Good. No Jacket. Charlotte Becker and Elsie Dean (illustrator). 1st Edition. Shiny pictorial boards with red cloth binding and green monotone illustrated eps. Large piece missing bottom of page 201 (2.5 x 3" circle), does not affect text. Small brown stains on first 3 pages, again on pages 7-9. Also some on bottom of pages 31-54, 81-88. Larger stain on pages 76-81 where a beverage has obviously spilled and spread a bit onto textblock side and bottom edges. Finger print size chip off top corner of page 31. Some pull-off around edges of FEP. Pages are lightly yellowed around edges. The paste-in puzzles have been pretty neatly done. Corners worn to boards, light edge wear. Externally the book is clean, tight and square and quite attractive for its age. None of my books are ex-library, remainders or bce unless specified.

Buch Erstausgabe
Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. First Edition. Presumed first edition although this publisher has no system for determining firsts. 244 pages with line drawings surrounding the text on every page. Pictorial end papers. "There are six colored gummed pages in this book and six corresponding background sheets. The gummed sheets are to be cut out carefully and the different pieces put in position." In this copy the owner has so assembled four of the six illustrations, while two of them remain unassembled. Overall this is a very good copy, clean and unworn, without owner's name, but this is a large chip at the bottom of the half-title page. With dust jacket in very good condition, some very minor wear at head and heel of the spine. Jacket is in clear mylar protector.

Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. First Thus. (1937). Pictorial boards with cloth spine, edges rubbed, pictures completed; matching dust jacket with wear and soil, small losses at corners and spine ends. A collection of fairy tales originally published in 1927 with Becker's illustrations, but not a "Put-Together" book. The pictures have all been very neatly completed and are actually very nice to look at. The text is surrounded by lovely green pictorial borders. Size: 4to.
