A comprehensive volume offering insight into the rich and diverse careers of modern designers Charles and Ray Eames, married in 1941, whose work included industrial design, furniture design, textile art, graphic design, art, film, and architecture. Illustrated throughout with color and black & white photographs, 14 of which are by Julius Shulman whose interest in architectural photography was inspired through a chance meeting with architect Richard Neutra. Shulman has received many awards and honors over the years, including the American Institute of Architecture Gold Medal for architectural photography in 1969 and an Honorary Membership in 1980.
