Verlag: Ziff/Davis Publishing, 1952
Anbieter: Sherwood Frazier Books, Laconia, NH, USA
Soft cover. Zustand: Good. Art by V Finlay, Rod Ruth, & Malcolm Smith (illustrator). Fantastic Adventures was an American pulp fantasy and science fiction magazine, published from 1939 to 1953 by Ziff-Davis. It was initially edited by Raymond A. Palmer, who was also the editor of "Amazing Stories," Ziff-Davis's other science fiction title. In 1949 Palmer left Ziff-Davis and was replaced by Howard Browne, who was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about fantasy fiction. Browne briefly managed to improve the quality of the fiction in Fantastic Adventures, and the period around 1951 has been described as the magazine's heyday. These 2 issues contain stories by Lawrence Chandler, Stuart Faulkner, Paul Fairman, and E.K. Jarvis and others. Interesting items to add to anyones pulp collections. Fair to good condition; some pages have tears (none over an inch) and all are browned with age. Cover art work colors are good and all pages are readable.

Soft Cover. Zustand: Fine (see description). Howard v Brown cover Art (illustrator). First Edition. ------------( 1st printing of the First Edition -CORRECTED TEXT ) --- trade paperback, a Fine/Very Fine unread example, ---this is an UNREAD copy, ---"---"The Shadow out of Time" is H. P. Lovecraft's last major story. It was first published in Astounding Stories for June 1936. And yet, this text has never been published as Lovecraft wrote it -until now. The recent discovery of Lovecraft's handwritten manuscript allows readers to appreciate this magnificently cosmic story exactly as originally written. ---All previous editions of the story contain hundreds of serious errors, including errors in paragraphing, omissions and mistranscriptions of many words and passages, and erroneous punctuation. Leading Lovecraft scholars S. T. Joshi and David E. Schultz have provided an exhaustive introduction and commentary on the story, elucidating names, places and other elements in this richly evocative story. A must for all devotees of Lovecraft and weird fiction!"---, any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo /// NOT SIGNED ---GUARANTEED to be AVAILABLE/// ---sizes are approximate (generally within 1/8 inch)--- Size: 5.5w x 8.25h Inches.
