Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Illustrated by Arthur Szyk (illustrator). Originally written in about 1,100, this translation by Edward Fitzgerald introduced it to the western world in 1859. This book is beautifully bound in a full black leather binding with 22 kt gold spine and cover decorations. The spine has four raised bands with five decorated compartments. All edges are gilt, and the book has tan silk moire end papers with a brown silk ribbon bookmark. The pages are acid-free and they are smyth-sewn, not glued. This is a very pretty book that would make a fine addition to any library.
