It took the position of the tallest buildung in the world from the Chrysler Building (1928-1930) and kept this rank until the early 1970 when it was surpassed by the World Trade Center (all in Manhattan, New York City). In 1994, Donald Trump entered into a joint-venture agreement with the owner of the land under the building Hideki Yokoi (Japan) with the - never reached - ''goal of breaking the Empire State Building's lease on the land in an effort to gain total ownership of the building so that, if successful, the two could reap the potential profits of merging the ownership of the building with the land beneath it. . . . In 2002 [when unrented space in the building reached up to 15% due to the lingering threat after 9/11 World Trade Center Attack], Trump and Yokoi sold their land claim to the [building's long-term leaser] 'Empire State Building Associates'. . .''(see wikipedia). --- The wrapper is only slightly used with few pressure marks around the lower staple at front that offset-but-getting-shallow to the middle of the booklet and a dogear at rearflap top-left which somehow has slight impact to the next sheets from the back, the overlapping corners of the wrapper partly with minimal crease; OVERALL A VERY GOOD COPY OF THE RARE AND FRAGILE PUBLICATION.
