No distortion of the book from reading or improper shelving. Pages are tight and clean with no marks. No scribbles, no crayon. Some of the captions to the color illustrations were cropped at the time of printing. Name of previous owner in ink top of front cover. No odor. No water damage. Some light soiling. No sun fading.

Twelve chromolithographed illustrations by Alice Sargent Johnson with a blank plate to be colored opposing, and detailed, careful instructions for step by step Japanese watercolor application, specific to each illustration, rather fine tips for painting. A promotional available with coupon found in each bag of Ceresota Bread Flour. The line illustrations are uncolored. The spine has been reinforce with a strip of clear tape. Small name stamp to cover, several pages, in margins not affecting plates. Otherwise clean. Record # 412170.

Alice Sargent Johnson (illustrator). 12 color lithograph illus., with accompanying illustration uncolored (on the verso of which are directions for coloring); text gives the history of Ceres, and the rise of Ceresota flour; The first 2 pictures are nicely colored but the remaining ten remain untouched. Front cover has two small closed tears. There is some wear along the folds and near the staples. Size: 6 x 8 Inches.
