OUR SECOND OFFERING, Preston's "Rocky Mountain Trees," is a smaller 12mo counting 59 pp. of Introduction and state-by-state checklist, then 285 numbered pp. followed by Glossary and Index numbered lxi through lxxx, in a colorful but tattered dust jacket which grade "fair." This is a 1947 Second Edition of a book oroginally published 1940. Two books on related topics for one price, with a combined weight of 4-1/2 lbs., now reduced from $14.

"Plant Diseases" is a "very good" 1953 hardcover of 940 pp. with no jacket, followed by 30 pp. of color plates to help identify various plant diseases and infestations, covering nematodes, fungi, diseases of grasses and legumes, cotton, food and feed grains, vegetable and sugar crops, tobacco, fruits and nuts, flax, coffee, "Crown Gal, -- a Malignant Growth," "Oak Wilt, a New Threat", and some diseases and infestations of ornamentals. OUR SECOND OFFERING, "Plant Physiology," a 1947 eighth printing of a book originally published 1939, is a "good" jacketless hardcover of 696 pp. including Index, corners of the boards worn through from use, illustrated -- somewhat sparsely -- with B&W graphs and drawings. Two books on related topics combined into a lot to consolidate shipping, though -- as the two books combined weigh 6 lbs. (2.7 kilos) -- shipping "Priority" or outside the United States is still likely to prove costly. The pair now reduced from $17.
