Buch
Hardcover. Zustand: VG. White stamped cloth, glossy white dust jacket, 140 pp., 83 color and BW illus. Issued in conjunction with a 2014-2015 exhibition of creations of German sculptor Katharina Fritsch (b. 1956) and American sculptors Jeff Koons (b. 1955) and Charles Ray (b. 1953). "Traces the parallel developments in the creative work of the three sculptors. Beginning with key works from the late eighties and early nineties that throw light on their shared interest in the consumer world and the readymade, this publication delineates their artistic practice up tot he present day in essays by Jack Bankowsky, Thomas Crow, and Nicholas Cullinan, as well as in a panel talk with Michael Fried, Isabelle Graw, Michelle Kuo, Charles Ray, and Scott Rothkopf. A direct comparison highlights the surprising similarities and marked differences in their oeuvres, and reveals the artists' compelling reasons for a decidedly contemporary art of sculpture." (dj) Each artist gets an illustrated narrative chapter, with chronologies and exhibitions histories following afterward. Provides visual intrigue.

Buch. Zustand: Neu.
