Buch
First english Translation. 14.5 cm x 22 cm. 645 Pages. One fold out map at back of book. Original Hardcover with illustrated dustjacket in protective collector's Mylar. Red Painted top edge. Very good- condition with only minor signs of external wear. Some minor foxing to endpapers and pastedowns. Edge stained. Ex Libris (Erik Haugaard). A novel pivoting around the battle at Tannenberg in 1914 as the Russian army advance into East prussia on the behest of their Western Allies to put down the German army there. Although greater in numbers the Russian army was not as well organised nor equipped as the Germans. The humiliation of the defeat and already unsteady Tzarist system gives way to the uprising that soon followed. Sprache: english.
