Cloth. Zustand: Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: No Jacket, as Published. Bayefsky, Aba (illustrator). Limited/Numbered. Unused clean, tight copy consisting of three pieces. The book itself is bound in gray cloth with cream titles on spine and cover, and embossed spectacle design on cover. It is copy number 87 of 127, and is signed by the author/illustrator on colophon page. Deckle edges. The book is pristine except for slight sunning to spine. It includes a brief historical essay on refinements on the manufacture of eyeglasses, followed by by 50 B&W prints of spectacle designs and historical costumes which include spectales. Part two is a signed and numbered multi-color print "Medieval London" in a gray folio. The print has a bend, but not a crease along the left edge, which does not extend into the image. Part three is the slipcase for the book, which is bound in the same gray cloth with cream title on front. Slipcase is sunned on front surface, else fine. All three parts are in the publishers original shipping box. Signed by Illustrator/Author.
