Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: NF missing a Few Small Pieces. Signed Limited. "Printed under the direction of Robert Josephy by the Beekman Hill Press in New York in February 1933. The edition consists of four hundred copies on Worthy Aurelian laid paper, of which numbers 1 to 30 include an original photograph of the author by Alfred Stieglitz, and have been signed by Dorothy Norman." This is copy number 2 but lacking the photograph (rumored to have been inserted in few if any of the first 30 copies) but with light glue stain where the photo was supposed to be, facing the limitation page in the rear of the book. This is Dorothy Norman's copy signed by her on the limitation page and inscribed on the verso by Alfred Stieglitz with "It is done". Additionally there is a signed letter from Stieglitz to Dorothy Norman laid in, dated 1940, in which he states that she claimed, he had never signed this copy for her. "I/ can't believe it--/And now while writing this/inscription I looked at the/back of the book---&/Lo! There is the inscription./So significant!" A wonderful association copy. Quite unique!. Signed by Author(s). Book.
