Many of the outlaws in this book were giving much trouble to the Wells Fargo Company. Sheriff Morse captured the notorious stage coach bandit, Black Bart. The original first edition has a former owner's stamped name at center of verso of rear cover, else a fine, bright copy. Housed in a cloth clamshell case with titles stamped in gilt on the front cover and spine.
