The book is housed in a brown paper covered slipcase & in an outer brown paper covered slipcase with a printed label on the spine. The vellum is foxed & the rear cover is lightly rubbed. The slipcases are rubbed. There is staining to the panels of the inner slipcase along the spine. The label on the outer slipcase is darkened & chipped with 1 corner detached. 63 deckle-edged pages and 29 facsimile plates with tissue guards reproducing drawings from Stevenson's notebooks. A few of the tissue guards are creased. Very good. First edition, limited to 450 copies.Printed exclusively for members of the Bibliophile Society by the Torch Press.
