Slipcase is in good condition; bright red, with some light-colored stains and fading and wear to edges and corners. Illustrated throughout with calendar cuts in multiple colors by Howard Trafton. A limited edition printing of 1000 copies, typeset by renowned American printer and bookmaker Bruce Rogers.

A fine copy in the original chipped acetate DW. in archival mylar and the lightly worn red paper-covered slipcase.

The second portion, "A Prognostication" is a month by month calendar usable for calculating the days of the week from 1951 to 1979. AS NEW in original red cardboard slipcase, alos fine and the original glassine dust wrapper with panels and flaps intact but spine strip lacking. A beautifully and elegantly produced book.

The typography is by the notable American book designer Bruce Rogers (1870-1957), who "was appreciated in his lifetime. In addition to several honorary degrees, in 1948 he was awarded a gold medal from the American Academy of Arts and Letters for distinction in the graphic arts. Over decades of accomplishment in which he designed approximately 500 books. Rogers literally defined the profession of book designing in the United States" (ANB).
