Mrs. Manning, together with her father and her children decide to stay on the farm and raise garden crops to sell in a nearby town that is having a "boom." Fifty new houses will be built and fifty new families will move in. The children are sure they can make it work . George W. Lose published between 1897 and ca. 1920, chiefly for the Lutheran Book Concern, in Columbus, Ohio. Much of his work in Germany was issued by Hirsch, Konstanz, Germany.
