The references Kelsey makes to historical figures who have contributed to the development of bibliographic documentation and classification (including Melville Dewey and Minnie Sears) are nice additions that help provide context to the reasons why we use the Dewey Decimal Classification and Sears List of Subject Headings today. * Technicalities * This highly comprehensive volume covers the subject in great depth, illustrating the encyclopedic knowledge of the author.
