Wolfert delves into a wide range of storylines that provide an escape from the more mundane functions in today's busy world, including the story of a judge, a view of the world through a baby's eyes, a 1965 African American freedom march in Alabama, and the kidnapping of a beautiful woman in a grocery store.
Realistic and metaphysical, lyrical and fun, the short stories and poetry in this collection help us reconnect with the experiences and stories that have shaped us and our lifetime. It nudges memories, inspires introspection, and provides comfort.
Adrienne Wolfert, Barnard '45, Vermont '64; taught fiction at Sacred Heart College, Fairfield University, and the Women's Writers Guild at Skidmore; and conducted fiction workshops in universities and libraries. She has published five novels, three poetry collections, and several chapbooks. She is a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Laurel Lobovits, M.D. has been variously, a physician, the owner of a bistro by the sea, an artist, a wife and mother. She can be tracked via laurellobo.com.
