Currently living in his home state of Ohio, R. L. Anderson has spent considerable time in the northern prairie states, including having owned a North Dakota cattle ranch, which inspired the setting for this novel, as well as his first one, Ranch Park (2010), which was the debut of the Will Nickerson Mysteries Series. The series continues with It's A Place For Trees (2011) and Viking It Is (2012), and now with the fourth installment, Let's Make It Merry Christmas. He is a small businessman with plans of getting back into ranching and furthering his career as a novelist. Other interests include foreign languages, hiking, cycling, swimming, sailing, photography, gourmet cooking, skiing and travel. He has traveled extensively in the US and Canada and has visited 6 European countries, plus Australia and New Zealand. He plans to start a new volume in the Will Nickerson Mysteries soon, and more are in the idea stage.
