Carol Levin Pfeiffer grew up in the Uptown area of Chicago along with her older brother Gary. When Carol was age 6, their mother was diagnosed with Schizophrenia. Carol and her brother went to school while taking care of their mother the best that they could. Carol became a mom at 16, and grew up even faster, eventually went to college, and was diagnosed with panic and anxiety at a young age after a marriage of Domestic Violence. Despite the hardship of losing a young daughter of 18, she pulled herself up, and decided to write about the perils of these disorders to help other people, and to show them, they are somebody, and they deserve the best of treatment no matter what!
