Jack Vizzard has for many years been near the top command of the Hollywood Code Office, He came there under the legendary Joe Breen, fresh from Jesuitical training for the priesthood and ready to wrestle with the devil from the beginning. But instead he got seduced into caring for the attractive, flamboyant outside world and never looked back on his theological training. A decent man himself, trying to do a decent job, he soon became as enraged at the Legion of Decency as at the most venal pornographic producer, and in the same arenas where he hunted heads, his own was often on the block.
