Gary David Comstock is Protestant Chaplain and visiting associate professor of Religion at Wesleyan University. He is the author of Violence Against Lesbian and Gay Men and Unrepentant, Self-Affirmingm Practicing: Lesbian/Bisexual/Gay People with Organized Religion. Susan E. Henking is associate professor of Religios Studies at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

Is it possible to be religious and to be gay, lesbian, or queer? Until recently, many persons - gay or straight - would have said no.
