Inhaltsangabe

A murder mystery, sort of.

Helen Teraslav is a beautiful Albanian artist living in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her affair with a mysterious stranger ends on an unsatisfying note, and she becomes obsessed with finding him. But what is she really obsessed with? Finding him, finding her runaway daughter, or finding out why she has given up on being happy in her life?

Drazny Rivac is an expatriate Serbian-American detective trying to adjust to his new life in the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office. His first homicide case as a newly minted American detective is baffling, and his bemused partner, Natasha, isn't making life easy for him. But his interest becomes piqued when he finds out that the widow of a famous Serbian playwright, a certain Helen Teraslav, may be involved.

What follows is a clash of cultures, styles, characters, and memories. A hybrid of literary and mystery fiction, Random Access Memory is a thoughtful, intelligent story as well as a good read.
