Ravindra Kumar Vemula is a Professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at The English and Foreign Languages University, Shillong Campus, India. His research focuses on development communication, health communication (HIV/AIDS), new media, and communication policy. He has co-chaired IAMCR’s Health Communication and Change Working Group (2011–2019) and coordinated India’s BRICS media systems study. Currently, he collaborates on a COVID-19 community engagement project with NIHSS, South Africa. He has published extensively, including books with Routledge and Palgrave Macmillan.
