She has a PhD in Rehabilitation Science from Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario, Canada) and is a registered occupational therapist in Ontario, Canada.

Rebecca Gewurtz is a tenured associate professor at the School of Rehabilitation Science in the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She has a PhD from the University of Toronto (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) and is a registered occupational therapist in Ontario, Canada.

Skye Barbic is a tenured associate professor in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) and is the Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) in integrated youth services.
