This book is a celebration of a chemical element that has served humanity since it uses materials at its disposal in nature, iron, which was initially found on the surface of the planet from meteorites and there is already some extracted from underground by the complex process we call mining.The book also celebrates scientific knowledge. Science with its methods and tools helps us to understand for example, that the Earth (which is of iron) is like an apple, with a not so thick shell called crust or crust, an intermediate part called mantle and a central part (for the apple would be the core) called core. That is, the book is an attempt to connect two worlds: the scientific and the lay, the academic and the common sense, the restricted and the popular.
