Sepia tone silver bromide print photograph, 385 x 445 mm, printed on thick board; printed caption label lower centre; blind-stamped lower left 'Victorian Railways Photo.'; wear at bottom corners, but overall in very good condition. A fine example of the large-format photographs of Victorian scenery - influenced by the pictorialist school - that were commissioned by the Victorian government and which were typically displayed in railway carriages on regional train services. In addition, we deal in all types of heritage material, including photographs, manuscripts, ephemera, maps and globes, and fine art.
