Gift inscription to preliminary pages. Ribon bookmark. Gilt to top edge. Illustrated with 13 full page colour plates (all present) and numerous in-text black & white illustrations. Robust, professional packaging and tracking provided for all parcels. 809 pages + Publisher's Catalogue. A charming copy of this famous needlework guide first published in 1886. Pages can include considerable notes--in pen or highlighter--but notes cannot obscure the text. An acceptable condition book. Undated but vintage. Rubbing to the book edges and a minor tear to the spine cloth. Notable cracks to the hinge beside each board that make them both feel slightly loose. Occasional rust marks close to the guttering.
